Leslie Kuperstein

Having grown up in New Jersey, Leslie attended a gap year in Israel before entering the Joint Program of the Jewish Theological Seminary and Columbia University. After leading a gap program in Israel, she worked for National Young Judea. Being in charge of the movement’s summer camp and Youth Commission brought her to Northern California.

Since relocating to Sacramento, she has worked at the Davis Fellowship, Congregation Beth Shalom, Congregation B’nai Israel, Mosaic Law Congregation, the Jewish Federation of Greater Sacramento as both an instructor and Director of Education, and taught at the Shalom School (Jewish Day School) for over 30 years.

A candidate for covenant award which honors outstanding innovative Jewish educators, Leslie has been honored to have been affiliated with Melton Sacramento for nearly a decade.
​
She and her husband are now enjoying their new residence in Grandparentland, Pennsylvania.
