Rabbi Evan Rubin

Rabbi Evan Rubin is the Rabbi and spiritual leader at Kenesset Israel Torah Center (KITC).
​
Prior to leading KITC, Rabbi Rubin served as the Hazzan at Congregation Etz Chayim in Toledo, Ohio for almost two decades. After receiving smicha from Yeshiva Pirchei Shoshanim, he began serving as the Rabbi at Congregation Etz Chayim. He has served as an educator at an Aryeh Kaplan Academy day school in Louisville, Kentucky and as the administrator for the Vaad Hakashruth there. He has also been a mashgiach for OK Kosher, Chicago Rabbinical Council, and served as both an eruv checker and a supervisor of eruv repairs.
In addition to his rabbinic skills, Rabbi Rubin also enjoys sharing his cantorial talent, particularly with his rendition of Carlebach Kabbalat Shabbat.
Rabbi Rubin is teaching adult education classes not only for KITC, but also for Melton Sacramento and the Federation.
